SUMMER WORKSHOPS

Every year, during the month of July we are pleased to offer a four week intensive program in the following disciplines:

    • Fashion with specialization’s in:
      Design Process or Couture Techniques or Fashion Merchandising & Communication
    • Interior design
    • Fine arts
    • Creative writing

General overview

The PARIS AMERICAN ACADEMY has formed a unique teaching staff comprised of academics, qualified professionals, guest artists and visiting professors.  All students and participants are ensured a comprehensive approach to professional standards.  To assist the transition to Paris, the administrative staff has an orientation and welcoming committee.  Each of the workshops can be coupled with or without accommodation;  if accommodation is required we propose the following options:

Accommodation in three star hotel
  • The hotel is located at a 3 minute walk from the school
  • Rooms are reserved for 28 nights, check in: July 1st – check out : July 29
  • Buffet-style breakfast included
  • Air conditioned rooms, telephone and satellite TV. No kitchen facilities.
  • Access to WIFI internet available but not included.
  • Daily room cleaning, sheets and towels almost daily.
Accommodation in private furnished apartment

(limited spaces available)

  • PAA manages a number of private apartments in various buildings within a mile radius of the Val de Grace.
  • Apartments are reserved for 28 nights, check in: July 1st – check out : July 29
  • Furnished, clean and well-maintained, they vary in size from small studios to spacious multi-unit rooms
  • Each unit has kitchen and bathroom facilities.
  • These are not serviced apartments, no meals are provided.

The 4 week program tuition includes
  • Welcome buffet lunch
  • Introduction to the Latin Quarter
  • Scheduled program of instruction
  • Survival French language course
  • Entrance fees to scheduled museum visits
  • Paris city tour by motor-coach
  • Farewell buffet dinner
Expenses not included
  • Excursions to Versailles Palace and Monet’s Garden at Giverny
  • Seine river cruise for the Bastille day fireworks celebration
  • Air fare
  • All meals except where explicitly included (optional excursions)
  • Trip insurance (ex. Travelex or CSA)
