The PAA classrooms spill into the museums, libraries and streets of Paris where participants are exposed to professional exhibitions, fashion trade shows, design fairs, and icons of the design world. In the student handbook we provide a what’s on guide to help enrich their educational experience with these external events.

The city of Paris acts as the PAA campus. Students are encouraged to explore the many museums, restaurants, cultural events, parks, and libraries available to them. At the start of the school year, students are offered a 2-week orientation course to help them adjust to French culture and Parisian life, as well as French language courses throughout each semester and summer workshop to help navigate life in the French capital.

We do not have campus catering and for those who bring their own lunch, microwaves are at at our students’ disposition. There are many options regarding bakeries and restaurants in the area where students can purchase their lunch.

Paris American Academy does not have student halls but manage furnished apartments within a five minute walk of the school which are rented to students. Students may decide to rent one of our apartments, rent through another organisation (such as Airbnb or seloger) or live with friends and/or family.
